The following privacy policy describes the nature of personal data that is collected from the client, and how it is used. You are entitled to know what data is collected about you, why JCMG requires this information and what your rights are. When you make a booking with JCMG, you are agreeing to the storage, processing and transfer of your personal data in accordance with this policy. The booking form will ask you to confirm that you have read and understood the information set out below.
Information Required/Collected
JCMG will ask for the following personal information when you make a booking with us: Name, Email address, Address, Phone number(s), DOB, Next of Kin, Emergency contact details, Completion of a Medical Questionnaire, Details of Relevant Experience and Levels of Fitness. JCMG requires this information in order to fulfil our contractual agreement to provide guiding services. As stated in the Terms and Conditions, the safety of our clients is of paramount importance and the data provided by you is to ensure that our guides have all the necessary information to plan (and implement) a safe and client-appropriate day out in the mountains.

How We Use Your Information
Information provided by clients is treated as strictly confidential and is required for the following purposes:
- For guiding purposes (including giving emergency services access to details in the extremely unlikely event if required).
- For insurance purposes.
- We may use information provided by you in responding to future queries made by you.
JCMG will not divulge your information to any third party or use the information for any other purpose, other than to comply with law or to protect our rights and safety.
We do not have an email marketing/newsletter distribution list, so your email address will only be used for contact with regard to any mountain days that you have booked with us.
Protection of Your Personal Details
JCMG understands the importance of protection of your data and we will take reasonable steps to keep your personal details secure and to prevent unauthorised access. This means that we store your data carefully (for example use of firewalls and virus software). While we take all reasonable steps to keep your personal information safe, clients should be aware that transmission of details across the internet is not entirely secure.
We do not record any sensitive banking details – payment transactions are done either via bank transfer, cheque, cash or a combination of these.
Access and Amendment to Client Records, Transfer of Data
Clients have the right to request access to any client records that may be stored by JCMG, providing that they give reasonable notice for such a request. Any amendments to your data can be made by contacting JCMG (via the contact form on this website, via email: jasmincameronmountainguiding@gmail.com or phone: 07774 902334). Clients may also request transfer of their data to another company.
Restriction and Deletion of Client Records
The client also has the right to request the restriction of the use of data or request its deletion, under certain conditions. When responding to such requests, JCMG will tell you how such restrictions or deletions may affect our ability to fulfil our contracts with you or otherwise affect your interests and explain the legitimate reasons for retention of client records.
Time Frames
JCMG will endeavour to respond promptly to all queries concerning this Privacy Policy. A response will be communicated to the client within one calendar month.
Storage of Client Records
Client data is stored indefinitely following a mountain day – for insurance purposes only.
Cookie Policy
Cookies are small files that are downloaded onto your computer when you access a website. You must either grant or decline permission by clicking cookie banner check box that appears when you load the website. Cookies help to provide the user with a better experience by recognising preferences and tailoring functions to you as an individual. This is achieved by analysing web traffic. Cookies do not give access to your computer or to any personal or sensitive information that might be stored on your hard drive.
